The Sixth Annual Busterthon is a wrap, my friends! I want to extend a big, sincere, and elegantly Art Deco-themed:
As you can see, Buster can’t quite keep a smile off his face.
This year ended up having a wonderful turnout, and I couldn’t be more pleased–especially since this is our event’s sixth year! That’s quite an accomplishment, and I have all you fine bloggers and readers to thank. I highly appreciate you guys putting in the time and effort to make this blogathon the annual success that it is.
As promised, I held my usual Very Official Cloche Hat Drawing today for the winner of the $50 gift certificate to the International Buster Keaton Society’s online Buster store. (Looking for Buster DVDs? Buster t-shirts? Buttons, label pins? A custom-made porkpie hat? The Damfinos got you covered! You can even get teeny weeny porkpie hat earrings, and really, who can put a price on that?)
(Yes, that is my floor. Got limited apartment space with decent lighting, folks!)
Drumroll please!
And the lucky winner is:
Congratulations Century Film Project!! We’ll be in touch. If you see this post first, feel free to contact me on my “About Silent-ology” page so we can email each other.
Once again, many thanks to the Damfinos for graciously sponsoring this year’s ‘thon. Silent-ology appreciates it! Until next year, fellow Buster fans!

Sounds like a good plan to me! Thanks for participating, Paul.
Hi! I wasn’t really sure where to post this but I just wanted to say I really love your account!! Silent films deserve so much more love than they receive these days and I’m happy people like you can keep the community going. It looks like I missed the Busterthon this year but I’ll be around for the next one for sure! I hate to self-advertise and I don’t want to seem like I’m doing that at all but I’ve been making some dedication videos for Mr.Keaton (He’s lovely and is a babe so I couldn’t resist) They’re the first videos I’ve attempted to make so they’re not too golden but I’ll post a link if you could use a minute of amusement 🙂
Thank you for making such a cool community for silent film lovers!!
Hi Charlie, nice to meet you! I’ve been tempted to make fan videos about silent stars myself, so I don’t blame you for sharing! I hope you do join in our Busterthon next year, they’re always a lot of fun.
Thanks for reading–stop by anytime!
